For passengers requiring inter-airport service (Heathrow - Gatwick) a coach
service is available. The buses depart the airports from 6 am to 10
pm at frequent intervals. The journey is approximately 45 to 60 min
and is free for all transit passengers.

London Layover

A long layover in London can be used to your advantage. There is a
lot to do and see while in transit. With proper documentation, a transit
visa may be granted (at the discrimination of the immigration officer) at
the airport.
Proper documentation would be:

Tickets with confirmed onward reservations out of the UK on the first connecting
flight within 24 hours.

Visa for the country of final destination.

London's underground train system (also known as the "Tube") is a very convenient
way to get around London. A "One Day Pass" costs approximately GBP
£5. It may be used on the tube or the bus; and one can get to
just about any point in London.

British Airways caters to a variety of special meals. The following
will serve as useful information
Asian Vegetarian

No meat/ fish/ chicken/ dairy products/ honey or any other by-products of
the slaughter industry. It is a meatless meal cooked and seasoned Indian
style with spices.

Hindu Meal

The Hindu meal contains no beef/ beef products/ meat extracts or veil.
This is NOT a vegetarian meal.

Muslim Meal
-
This meal contains no pork or by-products of pork and no foodstuffs containing
alcohol. Meets strict Halal requirements.

British Airways Passengers on Jet Airways

British Airways and Jet Airways have introduced a through check-in facility
at all Jet Airways destinations, enabling passengers connecting on a British
Airways from Bombay to be checked through to London and beyond. This
facility also applies for passengers inbound on British Airways flights into
Bombay, connecting on Jet Airways flights to destinations in India.
Instructions for Jet Airways Passenger

You will be checked in and provided boarding passes to the final destination.

On arrival in Bombay, use the Jet Airways courtesy coach service operating
between the domestic and international airports.

The checked in baggage will be transferred directly by the airlines.

At the international airport, proceed directly to the British Airways lounge.
